Instructor Background Check & Safety Assurance Policy

At Riverside Jukido Jujitsu, operated by Windsor Locks Jukido LLC, student safety is a core part of our mission. As a self‑defense–focused martial arts school, we maintain standards designed to promote a safe, respectful, and professionally supervised training environment.

Primary Instructor Background Check

The primary instructor responsible for leading classes and overseeing student training has completed a formal background check. This screening is conducted to help ensure that the individual entrusted with regular instruction meets our internal safety and professionalism standards.

Verification Requests

Students, parents, or guardians may request verification that the background check has been completed. To protect personal privacy and comply with applicable laws, certain information may be redacted or withheld. Only documentation relevant to confirming that a background check was performed will be provided.

Requests will be fulfilled within a reasonable timeframe. We reserve the right to determine what information can be safely and legally disclosed.

Instructional Coverage & Safety Practices

Riverside Jukido Jujitsu may, at times, utilize additional personnel to assist with classes, demonstrations, administrative support, or event coverage. All individuals involved in instruction or supervision operate under the policies, oversight, and direction of Windsor Locks Jukido LLC.

Regardless of who is assisting, the primary instructor remains responsible for maintaining a safe training environment, setting expectations, and ensuring that all activities follow dojo standards and safety protocols.

Liability & Safety Disclaimer

Martial arts training involves physical activity, partner practice, and controlled contact. While we take reasonable steps to promote safety—including supervision, structured curriculum, and adherence to dojo rules—students and guardians acknowledge that no environment can be made entirely risk‑free.

By participating in classes or events, students and guardians agree to follow all safety instructions, dojo rules, and instructor guidance. Failure to follow safety protocols may increase risk and may result in removal from an activity at the instructor’s discretion.

First Aid & CPR Policy

Riverside Jukido Jujitsu, operated by Windsor Locks Jukido LLC, prioritizes student safety. The primary instructor maintains basic first aid knowledge and is familiar with emergency response procedures appropriate for martial arts training. Any assistance provided is limited to non‑medical, good‑faith first aid and does not replace professional medical care.

If an injury occurs, the instructor may offer basic first aid, contact a parent or guardian, recommend medical evaluation, or call emergency services when necessary. Students and guardians understand that martial arts involves physical activity and inherent risk, and agree to follow all safety instructions and disclose relevant medical conditions.

Windsor Locks Jukido LLC does not provide medical treatment or diagnosis, and participation is voluntary. Emergency response outcomes and medical decisions remain the responsibility of the student, guardian, and healthcare professionals.

This policy may be updated as needed to reflect current safety practices.

Policy Updates

This policy may be updated periodically to reflect changes in safety practices, legal requirements, or operational procedures. The most recent version will always be available on UnderstandingJukido.com.
